A Witness for Christ, Myles Kelly

In Memoriam

Born in Ireland, my father-in-law, Myles Kelly, passed into Glory on November 5, 2012. He was an energetic and godly man filled with Irish humor and hospitality who influenced my love for Celtic music.

Myles asked that Let Me Be a Witness be played at his memorial service as he had done a year ago for his wife Pauline's funeral. Adrina Thorpe, who sings the song on Submitted, sang a beautiful rendition. Submitted producer John Andrew Schreiner played piano, Ed Nilsen played guitar, and I played pennywhistle. I am very grateful for their participation. May it bless Myles and Pauline as they dance on the streets that are golden.

Love, Eric

Let Me Be a Witness

Young at heart and dancing free
What will life unfold for me, Lord?

Let me be a witness
Living the love of Christ
Submitted to Jesus
Called to serve at the cross

Praying, teaching, serving thee
Clothed in Your humility, Lord

Chorus

Let my weakness be Your strength
Knowing Christ with every breath, Lord

Chorus

I will serve (x4)

Trials and storms encircle me
Through the mist Your light I see, Lord

Chorus

Fought the fight and kept the faith
Take me to Your heavenly place, Lord

Chorus

I will serve (x4)

Young at heart and dancing free
What will life unfold for me, Lord?
