The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift is a contemporary hymn celebrating the birth of the Christ child.  The words were penned by Joseph Konieczny.

His name is Jesus babe so mild
A gift of God this Holy child
King of kings of lowly birth
Our God with us and here on earth

With gifts of incense, myrrh and gold
This precious gift our hearts enfold
From on high our Savior came
To banish sin and heal the lame

O Greatest Gift we humbly bow
Before Thy throne a manger now
Prince of peace we laud thee Lord
The One in Three, God, Spirit, Word

Most holy Jesus fill our hearts
With love that only God imparts
May we spread abroad Thy Name
In spirit boldly to proclaim

Hosanna fragrance of our praise
So gratefully we upward raise
We’ll forever anthems sing
To heaven’s child eternal King!
